Mobility transition

The French Mobility Orientation Act (2019) introduces new tools to constrain road traffic. Transition to active mobility still faces obstacles: disconnected networks, perceived insecurity. Yet, cycle lane connectivity reduces accident risk and pollutant exposure.

Mandatory LEZs

LEZ implementation is mandatory for both metropolises. RESILIENCE studies local authority methodology, resident perception and quantitative impact on air quality.

  2. Assess impact of cycle infrastructure on pollutant exposure
  3. Analyse LEZ implementation and acceptability
  4. Co-optimise cycling and ecological networks
  5. Study barriers to behavioural change

Twin sites and mobility

A site with cycle lanes and vegetation is compared to a typical traffic site. Measured indicators: gas pollutants, UFP, thermal parameters related to traffic.

Car-free school streets

In partnership with MEL, evaluation of the car-free school street experiment in Lille.
